Projects and Recent Engagements

Icon Water - Project Delta

Icon Water provide water and sewerage services for the Australian Capital Territory and surrounding districts.  CBT Infrastructure Advisory is engaged as a strategic advisor to Icon Water on Project Delta. 


Project Delta was formed in 2022 to increase Icon Water’s capacity to deliver long-term asset planning and project delivery services.  It is expected to deliver over $1B of works and services over the next decade. 


To date, we have assisted Icon Water to develop and award the following collaborative partnerships under Project Delta:


  1. Professional Engineering Services Partnership - 10-year collaborative program to deliver professional engineering services – (EOI/RFT) - Award June 2024 
  2. Major Projects Program -   10 year collaborative program to deliver Major Projects  – EOI/dECI/ITC Award September 2024
  3. Network Projects Delivery Program - 3 separate panel arrangements to deliver a wide variety of capital projects across Icon Water’s Network - in Procurement. 

 

WSAA - Sustainable Procurement

 Our Director, Christian Truscott has been a member of the Water Services Association of Australia's (WSAA) Sustainable Procurement Group since formation in 2022.  In 2024, CBT Infrastructure Advisory was appointed to assist WSAA in the refinement of their plan to address current infrastructure current challenges. The plan can be found at - WSAA Water Infrastructure Delivery Procurement 4 Point Plan .


CBTIA is assisting WSAA in the delivery of a number of action items related to the 4 Point Plan.

Seqwater - Water Security Program

Seqwater is responsible bulk water supply for more than three million people across South East Queensland.  In 2023, Seqwater released its Water Security Program, which outlines how it plans to deliver water to the region’s rising population ( South East Queensland Water Security Program 2023 | Seqwater) .


CBT Infrastructure Advisory is providing transaction management and commercial advisory services to Seqwater for infrastructure projects to be delivered under the Water Security Program.  These services are being provided through Infrastructure Transaction Network ( www.itn.com.au ).


The first project being delivered under the Water Security Program is the 120 ML/day Wyaralong Water Treatment Plant and Associated infrastructure Project, which will be delivered under a long term collaborative DBOM (Design, Build, Operate and Maintain) model.  This Project is currently in procurement.
