Christian is a passionate leader who has a proven track record in driving optimal results from large, multi-disciplined teams. He has well-developed executive, program and technical management skills that have underpinned the delivery of exceptional business outcomes within the Australian and Southeast Asian water industry over the last 30 years. Christian’s experience spans across the entire asset lifecycle from planning through to the operation and maintenance of water infrastructure, with a focus in infrastructure delivery through collaborative partnerships.
Between 2018 and 2023 as the Manager of Asset Solutions for Gold Coast Water and Waste (WW), Christian led the implementation of over $1.6B of collaborative partnerships between the City of Gold Coast (CoGC) and the private sector. These will change the way CoGC delivers water and waste services to its customers.
Prior to joining CoGC, Christian was with the Downer Group for 20 years specialising in the delivery of water infrastructure with a focus on collaborative partnerships. During this time, Christian had the pleasure in leading some of the water industry’s most iconic programs including the Logan Water Alliance(s) and the Icon Water Alliance in Canberra.
Christian has extensive experience in the capital projects environment in a wide variety of contracting models from cost reimbursable and lump sum contracts to more collaborative forms such as incentive-based D&Cs, ETIs, ECIs, ITCs, Alliances, DBO, and DBOM projects - both from the client and contractor perspective.
In late 2023, Christian established CBT Infrastructure Advisory to assist clients develop, procure, implement and realise business benefits from the delivery of major projects or programs of work, focusing initially on the water and waste sectors.
